## SDK Version 1.21.0 Release Notes

Version 1.21.0 of the Benchling SDK makes changes to Python version compatibility, and fixes a type hint.

### What’s Changing?

### Changed

* Python 3.8 is no longer supported.
* Tests now verify compatibility with Python 3.13. The previous release was already compatible with 3.13, but this is now enforced in CI.

### Fixed

* In `benchling_sdk.apps.helpers.webhook_helpers.verify()`, the type annotation for the `headers` parameter was changed from `dict` to `Mapping[str, Any]` to indicate that the parameter can be any dict-like object (such as the Headers class in Flask) rather than only a dict. The function always allowed this, but the annotation was misleading.
