## \[SUNSET] Reminder: Removal of Batches APIs

The Batches API marked deprecated in May 2023 (see [here](/docs/changelog/2023/5/15)) will be fully sunset on **May 20th, 2024**

### What’s changing?

The [Batches API](https://benchling.com/api/reference#/Batches) has been deprecated in preparation for a sunset date of May 20th 2024 ([previous changelog](/docs/changelog/2023/5/15)). This is a final reminder to discontinue use of the Batches API. The Batches API was introduced alongside Batch functionality in Benchling, but has since been replaced by parent/child entity relationships. The deprecation and removal impacts all Batches API endpoints:

* `GET /batches`
* `POST /batches`
* `GET /batches/{batch_id}`
* `PATCH /batches/{batch_id}`
* `POST /batches:archive`
* `GET /batches:bulk-get`
* `POST /batches:unarchive`
* `GET /entities/{entity_id}/batches`

### When is this happening?

The Batches API is currently marked as deprecated and will be fully sunset on **May 20th 2024**
