[SUNSET] Reminder: Removal of Batches APIs

The Batches API marked deprecated in May 2023 (see here) will be fully sunset on May 20th, 2024

What’s changing?

The Batches API has been deprecated in preparation for a sunset date of May 20th 2024 (previous changelog). This is a final reminder to discontinue use of the Batches API. The Batches API was introduced alongside Batch functionality in Benchling, but has since been replaced by parent/child entity relationships. The deprecation and removal impacts all Batches API endpoints:

  • GET /batches
  • POST /batches
  • GET /batches/{batch_id}
  • PATCH /batches/{batch_id}
  • POST /batches:archive
  • GET /batches:bulk-get
  • POST /batches:unarchive
  • GET /entities/{entity_id}/batches

When is this happening?

The Batches API is currently marked as deprecated and will be fully sunset on May 20th 2024
