[V3 REST API] Notebook Document APIs Beta Updates: Unstructured Table and Legacy Field Removals

Several updates have been made to the Beta Notebook Document APIs. Unstructured Table rows are now read from a dedicated paginated endpoint, matching the Results Table APIs. Endpoints and fields previously announced as deprecated have been removed. This update includes breaking changes that may require attention.

🆕 Added

GET /document-part-unstructured-table/{document_part_unstructured_table_id}/rows/items

  • Added a new endpoint for listing the rows of an Unstructured Table. Each UnstructuredTableRow includes its absolute rowIndex, its cells in column order, and a reference to the parent documentPart. Use pageSize and nextToken to page through rows.

DocumentPartUnstructuredTable

  • Added a rows property containing the URL of the table’s rows listing endpoint.

⚠️ Updated

GET /document-part-unstructured-table/{document_part_unstructured_table_id}

  • This endpoint now returns a DocumentPartUnstructuredTable without row data. The pageSize and nextToken query parameters have been removed. To read rows, use the new /rows/items listing endpoint.

PATCH /entry/{entry_id}

  • Deprecated the sectionUuid field. It applies only to the legacy content field. To insert entry document content, use the partsMutation request field instead.

❌ Removed

PATCH /document-part-unstructured-table/{doc_part_id}

  • Removed the ability to patch an entire Unstructured Table. To edit cell content, use the update_table_cells operation. To append rows, use the insert_table_rows operation. To change columns or merged cells, delete the table with the delete operation and re-create it with the insert operation.

GET /entry/{entry_id}

  • Removed the deprecated sections field. To read an entry’s document content, use the /entry/{entry_id}/parts/items listing endpoint instead.
